Buffalo Cauliflower

“We’re supporting the Eagles.” my husband, Baba says to me out of nowhere. Quickly, I put two and two together and remember the Super Bowl is this Sunday, which means he wants me to watch the game with him. Hmm, so I’m not into sports but I do enjoy watching anything with my husband, I like that he includes me in his hobbies. Anyway, I like seeing the new adverts aired during the game and maybe the half-time entertainment too. Seeing as I am going to be watching the Super Bowl, I decided to put together some snacks. How about some Buffalo Cauliflower!

Ingredients
1 head cauliflower
1/2 cup almond mik
3/4 cup all purpose flour
2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp cumin
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp maple syrup
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 cup hot sauce

Method
Preheat the oven to 450F. In a bowl combine the almond milk, flour, garlic powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt and black pepper. Cut the cauliflower heads into bite size pieces. Cover cauliflower evenly with flour mixture and bake for 20 minutes.

While the cauliflower is baking, combine the remaining ingredients; maple syrup, vegetable oil and hot sauce. Once the cauliflower is baked, coat it with the hot sauce mixture and bake for a further 20 minutes.

It’s not chicken but these taste delicious, the Buffalo Cauliflower Bites are dairy free and vegan so a great way to cater to non meat eaters. Oh I made my own Ranch Sauce (see recipe here) to go with it as I couldn’t find any dairy free or vegan option.
